Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who was an athlete and captain of the 2012 Fierce Five and the 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic Gymnastics team. In the 2012 Olympics she was awarded gold on both the team floor and the individual events. Bronze was taken by using the balance bar. This made her an the only American gymnast to compete at the Olympics to earn the most medals. At the 2016, Olympics she took home gold for the team event, which gave her along with co-teammate Gabby Douglas the distinction of having being one of the very first Americans to have two consecutive team golds. Her silver medals came in the floor-based individual and all-around events. The break was for three years between each Olympics from gymnastics competition. The gold medal she won for the American team also won 2 World Championships. Gymnastics was her first sport of choice in the age of 2 and her favorite event is floor workouts. Aly has a strong support for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization in memory of her grandmother who was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. Aly is planning to pursue a career as a designer. She hopes to pursue expanding her trademark range of leotards. Fierce is a novel she plans to release later in the year.
